Beer-beef curry


Ingredients

* 2 pounds steak, cut into strips
* 1 onion, chopped
* 4 Tbsp butter or margarine
* 1 tsp salt
* 1 can Dark beer
* 1 Tbsp curry powder
* 1 apple (any variety) chopped
* 1/2 cup shredded coconut
* 1/4 cup almonds, chopped(u can also experiment with other varieties of nuts)


Directions

1. Brown meat and onion in butter.
2. Add salt, beer, and curry.
3. Simmer 45 minutes, Uncovered, stirring frequently.
4. Add the apple, coconut, and almonds and cook 15 minutes longer.
5. Serve on a bed of cooked rice.
